This Privacy Policy explains how KS Analytical Systems ("KSA," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit ksanalytical.com (the "Site") or contact us through it. KSA is a United States business based in Texas.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you use the Request a Quote / Contact form, we collect the information you enter:
- Contact purpose (General Inquiry or Quote)
- First and last name
- Email address and phone number
- City, state, and country
- The product areas you are interested in (for example XRD, XRF, XRM, or software)
- Any message or details you choose to write
If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you choose to share with us.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure processes technical information needed to deliver pages and keep the Site secure, such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages, and date and time of the request. This appears in server and security logs kept by our hosting provider.
Cookies and tracking
The Site does not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, or tracking pixels for visitors. Cookies and sessions are used only for KSA staff who sign in to the Site's content management system. Some instrument pages embed videos from YouTube using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com); see "Third-party sites and content" below.
How we use information
- To respond to your inquiry, prepare quotes, and provide sales, service, training, and support
- To communicate with you about your request by email, phone, or in print, as you agreed when submitting the form
- To keep the Site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and troubleshoot problems
- To keep business records and meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations
In plain terms, we rely on your consent (when you submit the form), our legitimate business interest in running and securing the Site and answering inquiries, and the need to take steps you request before entering into an agreement with us.
Spam protection
The contact form uses a hidden field and a minimum-time-to-submit check to filter automated spam. These checks do not involve third-party tracking.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to operate the Site and respond to you:
- Service providers. Form submissions are sent to KSA by email through Cloudflare's email service. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare (including its Workers, database, and storage services), which processes data on our behalf.
- Partners. As stated on the form, we may share information you submit with our partners only as necessary to facilitate a response to your inquiry.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of others.
Retention
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond and for business records, and then delete or de-identify it when it is no longer reasonably needed. Log data is kept by our hosting provider according to its own schedules.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections and access-controlled administration. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party sites and content
The Site links to other sites, including our parts store at store.ksanalytical.com, icdd.com, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Instrument pages may embed YouTube videos. These third parties operate independently and have their own privacy policies and practices; we encourage you to read them. This policy does not apply to them.
Children
The Site is intended for business and professional audiences and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, and to correct or delete it. You may also ask us to stop contacting you. Depending on where you live (for example, Texas or other U.S. states, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom), you may have additional rights under local law. To make a request, email ksa@ksanalytical.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on it.
International visitors
KSA is based in the United States, and information you submit is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. By submitting the form you understand that your information will be transferred to and handled in those locations.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
